# Preferences

General Settings concerning Storm.

| Channel | Explanation |
| --- | --- |
| Write images while simming | Check to write an png sequence of your viewport |
| Fallback png filepath | Where to write the pngs. If blank the url of the scenefile is used. |
| Export Particle Sequence while simming | Check to write a particle sequence from a classic system |
| Fallback folder path | Where to write the particle cache. If blank the url of the scenefile is used. |
| Write in Background | Cache is stored in memory and written to disk in background |
| Field of View | FOV of the Perspektive View |
| Viewport Antaliasing | Toggles the Antialiasing in the Viewport |
| Number of Threads | How many threads are used for simulation. Especially in simple scenes fewer threads can be faster. |
